MineZ is a fun, zombie based, mini game that involves walking around maps fighting off zombies while looking for chests to gain more loot. The overall goal of this server is to kill the most zombies you can without dying.

To join this server, use /minez in HUB or use the portal pad in the HUB.

Please note that this server is still in BETA and will have bugs. We will work on getting these bugs fixed over the next few days. Enjoy!

We have updated the player head feature on the PvP server to include bounties! As per usual, when you kill a player - there is a 30% chance that the players head will drop. This has been used as a trophy feature on the server, but now it is much more!

All players on the PvP server can now place bounties on other players heads. When a player is killed, and their head is dropped - the player who had made the kill and collected the head can claim the bounty. With this new feature includes new commands:

/bounty search [username] - search for a bounty on a player.
/bounty list <page> - list current bounties.
/bounty place [username] [price] - place a bounty on a player or add to an existing one.
/bounty claim - claim the bounty of the head you are holding.
/bounty remove [username] - remove the bounty, you created, of a player.
/bounty listown - list unclaimed bounties you have created.
/bounty redeem - claim any heads that are owed to you .

PvP has had one of it's major updates in a long time, including a full reset and new spawn. Please note that work is still being done on the spawn, such as setting up the market and Donor Island. There are also some other features that still need to be tweaked like kits.

Since the server has just opened, some issues are expected and we will work on getting them fixed as soon as possible. We would also like your opinion on the reset, what you like and possible suggestions you may have to improve the server. Please do not complain about losing all your items and buildings - we had our old map for over 4-5 months and the server was in need for a major update.

I hope you all do enjoy the new server, we have tried hard to make it look good and balanced. Hours and hours have gone into setting it all up!

Our unique and great protection plugin on the Survival server has been updated to version 3! For months we have been gathering suggestions from players about what they would like added to the protection system and our developer has gone ahead and implemented these additions!

Potion Protect v3 is now live on the server, including the current changes:
  • Firstly, the biggest change is bigger protection zones and some new added protections!
All players: 20 x 20 zones
Supporter+: 30 x 30 zones
Premium+ (NEW!): 40 x 40 zones
God+: 50 x 50 zones

Added commands:
  • /p - Shows a help screen which displays all the commands you need
  • /p block <add/remove> [player] - You can now block players from entering your zone by using this command.
  • /p teleport <id> - You can now teleport to your zones! Get the zone id by using /p list and you will notice a '#1' or '#2' before information on your zones - this is a zone id. So using /p teleport 1 will teleport you to your first protection.


Other additions:

  • Chests are now protected by zones so only the owner and member of zones can open chests in their zone. We still have deadbolt available if you wish to lock zone members out of your chests - just place a sign on your chest.
  • Players can no longer interact with anything in zones if they are not a member of it. This includes opening doors, using levels, etc.
  • Welcome and Farewell messages have been added when you walk in or out of a zone.


As you can see these features bring a lot more simplicity into your protected regions, you will now be able to make sure players aren't annoying you in your own zones and can even teleport to zones if you have lost it! Hope you all enjoy!

So as we all know, 1.5 is being released very soon - if fact less then a day! So without further ado here are the changes coming on the server!

Survival
The only change in Survival will be the nether reset. Everything else - maps, inventory, /chest, etc will remain.

PvP
PvP is going to have the biggest change - with a full reset planned. This means - maps, balances, inventories, /chests, faction land and everything else you can think of - Even the Kill/Death counter! The only exception to the reset will be mcMMO levels as some people have purchased these levels. Another big change is that OP apples will be removed and Prot 3 and Sharp 3 will become the max enchants for Prot and Sharp.

The new spawn will also be on the server for 1.5 - it has been in building for weeks now and is looking great! The spawn includes themed shops, dedicated trading area's to protect players during trades, Donor Island - which only donors will be able to access. On the donor island will be the godmarket that God+ can access, as well as a potion shop and portal to The End (Yes! Donors have access to The End). Lastly, the portal island that will have the 2 portals to the faction world, a portal to the nether and portal to the pvp arena. The sewers will also be making a return in a few weeks.

I have also changed a few donor perks around:
+ Lord can pick up mobs spawners
+ Lord get Double XP for mcMMO
+ God's can purchase mob spawners in God market
+ God get halved cooldowns on mcMMO
+ Titans get triple XP for mcMMO
+ mcMMO levels and more money will be given to donor ranks upon purchase
+ More Mob Disguises will be added to Premium, King, God and Titan.
+ Kits will be changes so only 1 kit given per rank instead of multiple.
- Flying in spawn will be removed

Other servers
All other servers will remain the same - no reset or other features will be added or removed

The creative server is back, better then ever! We have totally revamped the server, made it much better and easier to use and manage + ALL players now have access to creative mode!

The server is split up into 2 build worlds: Free world and Donor world. The free world is for all players to join and has plot sizes of 32 x 32 and the Donor world will only be available to Donors which has plot sizes of 64 x 64. Another feature in the Donor world is when players claim 2 plots next to each other, the plots will merge, meaning players can create major builds!

Now that this server is up, and will be remaining up we will be holding monthly building competitions. The winner of each month will receive a free rank in the server they choose + there build shown in the "Build of Fame" world that is under construction. This world will be accessible from spawn.

EDIT: Ranks are now available from the Rank Shop!
On another note, Donor packages are still being worked on and will be available for purchase in a few days. The ranks include being able to claim more then 1 plot, access to the Donor world that has 64 x 64 plots and other features to be announced.

As promised, we plan on opening more and more servers over the next few months. Last week was SkyBlock which has been a very huge success which gave us the ability to reach our 500 players on the server milestone getting up to 550 players. Today we have released our next server, Paintball, which within 10 mins of opening up we had 30-40 players on.

This server is simple to play, you join in the lobby and either get put into a team or you can select what team with /red and /blue. Once the next round begins you will be teleported to a Paintball map where you throw snowballs at the opposing team. As you tag players, you will be rewarded with money which you can spend at the shop using /shop. The shop has multiple items in in such as Grenades, Airstikes and turrets.

The server has no available donor ranks so everyone is on the same playing level. On behalf of the Level Up Minecraft staff we hope you all enjoy playing on the server!

To join the server use /paintball in any current server or use the portal pad in spawn.

The next servers under construction are Spleef and CTF!

Since the current servers are much more stable now in terms of performance, I am starting to open up new servers. Currently there is a list of 7 servers which I would like to open and Skyblock is one of them.

This server is based around the popular Minecraft mini-game Skyblock, were you are stranded on an island and need to try and complete set challenges. The great thing about this server is you can join friends in a party and work together to complete challenges on the one island. As an extra feature, you can be rewarded 1 grass block and 300 XP for voting, just use /claim once you have vote credit.

To join this server use /skyblock on any server or use the Skyblock portal pad in HUB to join!

We will continue to enhance the server over the coming days and also start working on the next server to open. Enjoy!

When you purchase the mcMMO level package, you will get the levels in-game automatically and to claim the levels to an mcMMO skills use the command:

/claimlevels [skill] [amount of levels]
eg. /claimlevels mining 100 - This will give you 100 levels towards mining.

Please note that you do not need to claim all your levels towards 1 skill, you can spread them out to as many skills as you want. So say you bought 200 levels you can use:

This post has been made before, and I hope this will be the last time I have to post it. Staff of Level Up Minecraft are all volunteers, meaning they do not get paid for what they do. They spend their own free time helping players, trying to make sure that everyone is happy. They get nothing in return for that except the enjoyment of helping others.

Unfortunately, some players take advantage of this, and decide to disrespect staff. THIS WILL STOP. Disrespect can vary from calling staff bias, calling them names, giving them attitude and other actions following the same lines. From now on I am giving permission to ALL staff members to ban ANY player who disrespects them or another staff member. If you have an issue with a staff member, let an admin know of it so we can investigate, it is not the players job to make them feel useless or think they are doing the job wrong.

When I mean ban, I mean no warnings and permanently (Never unbanned again). This is your only warning.

I know most players do respect staff and I thank everyone who does do this. Unfortunately it's the players that don't respect them are the ones that cause issues.

Hello,
Instead of leaving everyone in the dark in terms of the survival server crashes, I would like to let everyone know what is happening. About a week or two ago when the crashes started to begin, we learnt that one of the build worlds (build 1) was corrupt. This mean there are chunk errors as well as bad entities (animals, etc) spawning because of it - which was what was causing the crashes in the first place.

Instead of doing what most server owners would do and just reset the world, I had decided to try and fix the map so no builds would be lost. We have tried 2 things to fix this, one was a program that would remove the corrupted chunks, this failed. The next thing was to run a custom bukkit built by our developer that would delete the bad entities instead of crashing the server (This custom bukkit only needs to be run on the server for about a week), this was a success. BUT, now we face another issue with the crashes. The custom bukkit that was developed disagrees with some things on the server and now it is the causes of the crashes.

The developer is working hard to correct this issue so there are no crashes, which I will hope will be some time today. All in all, it was either let the server crash a bit or we reset the world and players loose their build. I hope that this answers some of your questions you have, and hope this issue is resolved very quickly - as I too get frustrated when the server crashes. I will update this post when we get more information.
